Roadmap: Sakura Quest

Hello Tasmap Community:

It's been over a month since Tasmap launched, and I'd like to sincerely thank each user for your valuable feedback and suggestions. I want to take this opportunity to share our development roadmap for the near future.

Creating Maps Simply

We've observed that many users face their first challenge: starting a map from scratch isn't easy. We're developing AI-assisted features to significantly shorten the process from concept to finished product, making creation more intuitive and natural.

I'll be sharing a separate post with detailed thoughts on AI's role in Tasmap.

Joyful Editing Experience

Thanks to our early users on Reddit and Discord for providing so many valuable insights (if you haven't joined our Discord yet, now's the time!). Enhancing the editor's functionality and usability will be our top priority after completing our current tasks. We aim to make every detail adjustment more intuitive and fun.

Refined Map Browsing Experience

The current map user experience has several details we can improve, such as:

  • More visible interaction feedback when text is clicked
  • Better organization and presentation of related text when markers are clicked
  • Offline-first data design

Technical Architecture Optimization

The current architecture already provides good scalability and maintainability, but as our user base grows, we'll implement more comprehensive automated testing to further enhance product stability. In the rapidly iterative world of modern software development, stability is the cornerstone of quality, and something many products often overlook.

Conclusion

In summary, our "Sakura Quest" focuses on three core objectives: creating maps more simply, refining core functionality and fixing issues, and providing a more polished interactive experience. We hope to complete this work during cherry blossom season, enabling Tasmap to bloom with new possibilities in this season of creation and exploration.

Wishing everyone creative inspiration in this beautiful spring!
