# Tasmap > Tasmap is a web app for creating, editing, previewing, publishing, and sharing beautiful interactive narrative maps from places, routes, images, data, and written content. Tasmap is positioned as the Canva for Maps. It helps people turn data, stories, and local knowledge into interactive maps without needing engineering, GIS, or design expertise. Public maps can combine a visual map, article-style writing, linked locations, routes, images, embeds, custom themes, branded share assets, QR codes, embed codes, and progressive web app behavior. Tasmap is not a turn-by-turn navigation product. It is a map creation and publishing platform for personal guides, education, local governance, business sites, travel planning, real estate, events, curation, blogs, media, and other story-driven map experiences. Core map layouts: - Classic: a map-first layout where locations can carry their own content. - Story: one long article connected to a full map, where text can highlight or focus map elements. - Cards: ordered article cards connected to a full map, with each card able to link to locations or routes. AI features are optional helpers. They can draft a map from a prompt, generate themes from text or image references, extract locations from selected article text or blocks, and suggest marker colors based on the current visual style. Human creators remain responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing the final map. ## Primary Pages - [Home](https://tasmap.app/): Main landing page for Tasmap, including product positioning, visual examples, AI assistance, sharing, embedding, and map-as-app workflows. - [Studio](https://tasmap.app/studio): Authenticated workspace where creators create maps, build with AI, manage existing maps, and update account settings. - [Pricing](https://tasmap.app/pricing): Plan information for free and paid usage, including map count, storage, traffic, and branding differences. - [FAQ](https://tasmap.app/faq): Answers about Tasmap features, pricing, sharing, privacy, AI, embedding, PWA behavior, and common use cases. - [Blog](https://tasmap.app/blog): Product updates, tutorials, and practical notes for making better interactive maps. ## Features - [Beautiful Design](https://tasmap.app/feature/beautiful-design): Presentation-ready maps with custom themes, clean layers, and detailed visual control. - [Beyond Locations](https://tasmap.app/feature/beyond-locations): Connect maps with writing, media, routes, and embedded context so places can carry a full story. - [Share and Embed](https://tasmap.app/feature/share-and-embed): Share maps by link, QR code, Open Graph preview, or embed code across existing publishing platforms. - [Maps as Apps](https://tasmap.app/feature/maps-as-apps): Publish a map that people can open like an app, update instantly, and add to their home screen. - [AI Assistants](https://tasmap.app/feature/ai-assistants): Use AI to extract places, design themes, search icons, and move faster without replacing the creator's expertise. ## Use Cases - [Maps for Educators](https://tasmap.app/use-case/educators): Connect texts, places, routes, images, and source material so students can learn through geography. - [Maps for Local Governance](https://tasmap.app/use-case/local-governance): Publish changing local information, public notices, service points, and civic updates in one accessible map. - [Maps for Business Sites](https://tasmap.app/use-case/business-site): Show locations, status, booking links, and branch details in a map that matches a brand. - [Maps for Travel Agencies](https://tasmap.app/use-case/travel-agency): Put itineraries, routes, hotels, restaurants, shuttles, and local notes into one map travelers can keep using. - [Maps for Real Estate](https://tasmap.app/use-case/real-estate): Package listings, commute context, school zones, and area notes into one interactive client map. - [Maps for Events](https://tasmap.app/use-case/event): Guide visitors through venues, booths, entrances, routes, and live updates without reprinting materials. - [Maps for Curation](https://tasmap.app/use-case/curation): Turn exhibitions, city walks, hotel guides, and local stories into spatial experiences visitors can follow. - [Maps for Blog](https://tasmap.app/use-case/blog): Embed interactive maps into posts so readers can read, click, and explore without leaving the article. - [Maps for Media](https://tasmap.app/use-case/media): Help readers understand where a story happened, what surrounds it, and why that place matters. ## Product Context - [About](https://tasmap.app/about): The story behind Tasmap and why beautiful, personal maps should be easier to create. - [Press](https://tasmap.app/press): Brand resources and product context for Tasmap. - [Sitemap](https://tasmap.app/sitemap.xml): XML sitemap for public Tasmap pages, blog posts, and published maps. - [Terms of Use](https://tasmap.app/term/terms-of-use): Legal terms for using Tasmap. - [Privacy Policy](https://tasmap.app/term/privacy-policy): Privacy policy for Tasmap. ## Optional - [Tasmap on X](https://x.com/TasmapApp): Product updates and announcements. - [Tasmap Community](https://discord.com/invite/SpZ8Rynm8V): Community space for feedback and discussion. - [Contact](mailto:hi@tasmap.app): Email contact for questions, partnerships, support, and high-traffic needs.
